He married Susie Ellen Marshall April 18, 1899. Susie was born 1879. Susie(637) was the daughter of James David Jack and Mary Susanna Sutton. Susie died 1961 at 82 years of age.

James Edward Thomas and Susie Ellen Marshall had the following children:
