Carl died June 5, 1959 in Mooreland, Woodward, Oklahoma, US, at 47 years of age. His body was interred June 5, 1959 in Ellis, OK, Mt Olive Cem.

He married Connie May Magness in May, Harper, Oklahoma, July 3, 1939. Connie was born in Harmon, Ellis, Oklahoma June 25, 1914. (Additional notes for Connie May Magness(1417)) Connie died July 7, 1974 in Red Cloud, Webster, NE, US, at 60 years of age.

Carl Lee Thomas and Connie May Magness had the following children:
