He married three times. He married Levisa "Louisa" Thomas. Levisa was born in Washington, VA, US about 1847. Levisa was the daughter of James Thomas and Philippina "Philipena" Van_Huss. Levisa died 1860/1873 at 14 years of age. He married Lydia Elrod in Washington, VA, US, February 14, 1873. Lydia was born in NC, US June 24, 1834. Lydia(524) was the daughter of David Elrod and Sarah Binkley. Lydia died August 11, 1917 at 83 years of age. Her body was interred in Mock's Cemetery, Washington, VA, US.
