4. Michael³ Nees (John "Owldrick"² Nasse, Mathias Sr.¹ Nehs)⁽¹²⁾ was born in TN, US September 12, 1779. Michael died March 23, 1849 in Poland, Clay, IN, US, at 69 years of age. His body was interred in Wilkerson Cemet., Clay, IN, US.

He married twice. He married an unknown person. He married Margaret Peggy Freshour in Greene Co., Tennessee, August 8, 1804. Margaret was born April 21, 1785. (Additional notes for Margaret Peggy Freshour(13)) Margaret died October 25, 1851 in Poland, Clay Co., Indiana, at 66 years of age. Her body was interred in Wilkerson Cemty., Poland, Indiana.

Michael Nees and Margaret Peggy Freshour had the following children:

15 i. Andrew Jackson⁴ Nees. He married Patsy Slack.

16 ii. Sophie Nees⁽¹⁴⁾. She married Latham.

+ 17 iii. John B. Nees was born 1805.

18 iv. Jacob Nees was born in Greene Co., Tennessee July 11, 1807. Jacob died September 22, 1869 at 62 years of age. He married Nancy.

+ 19 v. Mary Ann Nees was born March 27, 1811.

+ 20 vi. William Nees was born January 13, 1814.

21 vii. Margaret Nees⁽¹⁵⁾ was born in Greene Co., Tennessee 1819. She married Phillip Nelson.

22 viii. Henry Nees⁽¹⁶⁾ was born in Greene, TN, US January 1823. Henry died May 6, 1877 at 54 years of age. He married Mary M Booth.
