Families of Washington County, p. 356 E-mail from Pam Cresswell dated May 15, 1997 Leonard Shoun and His Wife Barbara Shlimp "He was in America in the early 1600's and was on the first census taken 16 Feb. 1623 where he is listed in the "Lists of the Livinge and Dead in Virginia." He resided then in an area called Flourdien Hundred which is located north of Jamestown, Virginia. Later he moved to Bristol Parish, Chesterfield, VA. He held title and position, paying for passage for others coming from England to Virginia in exchange for land grants. He left his vast land holdings and plantation to his son, John Willson, Jr. He land holding which were granted as early as 1666 are still held by descendants. The Wilson Farm is located at Chesterfield, Virginia and is one of the only three structures of its kind still in existence."
