Della Rosella Trent, 94, of Damascus, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
She was a lifelong resident of Damascus. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Hettie Proffitt Maxwell. Her husband, Emmett L. Trent and a son, Earl Trent, preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Damascus.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn and Joe Carswell of Hickory, N.C. and Helen Carroll of Furguson, N.C.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack Lee Trent and Billy Joe and Jane Trent, all of Glade Spring; two step-daughters and spouse, Mary Milhorne of Johnson City, Tenn., and Martha and Larkin Owens of Meadowview; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was conducted Thursday, April 29, 2004, in the Garrett Funeral Home Chapel with brother Donnie Stanley and the Rev. Harry Layell officiating. Burial followed in Wright’s Chapel Cemetery in Damascus.
Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus was in charge of arrangements.
