Widener
Pearl Miller Widener, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie.
She was born in Washington County and was the daughter of the late Marion M. and Mae Parris Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dailey A. Widener; a son, Danny Lee Widener; one sister, Rebecca Stapleton; three brothers, J.C. Miller, Earl Miller and Lynn Miller.
She was a member of the Chilhowie Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Vee Widener; two grandsons and spouses, Brian and Michelle Widener and Craig and Leigh Widener; four great-grandsons, Levi Widener, Conner Widener, Noah Widener and Luke Widener; one great-granddaughter, Lindsay Widener; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ralph Branch; two brothers and sister-in-law, Julian and Alice Miller, Paul Miller and special friend, Katherine Johnson; sisters-in-law, Willie Miller, Geneva Miller, Ella Miller, Bela Bishop and Mae Reed Widener; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Melba Widener; special friend, Wilma Greer; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 28, 2004, in Chilhowie Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Herrell and associate Pastor Matthew Herrell officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2004, at the Middle Fork Cemetery.
The family received friends Friday evening at the church prior to the funeral service.
Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie is in charge of arrangements.
