He married Caroline Brownlee in Marion, May 25, 1925. Caroline was born in Marion, IN, US November 2, 1898. Caroline died February 7, 1992 in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN, US, at 93 years of age.

Herbert Newton Mace and Caroline Brownlee had the following children:

341 ii. Herbert B Mace.

342 iii. Delight M Mace. She married Dowell.
