He married Margaret C Brown in Washington, VA, US, December 20, 1877. Margaret was born in Smyth, VA, US April 10, 1853. (Additional notes for Margaret C Brown⁽⁴⁰⁾) Margaret died June 20, 1912 at 59 years of age. Her body was interred in James Cemetery, Smyth, VA, US.
