He married Mary Ransom in Plympton, Ma, US, April 1, 1762. Mary was born about 1740. (Additional notes for Mary Ransom(12)) Mary died about 1825.

William Tilson and Mary Ransom had the following children:

7 i. William⁷ Tilson⁽¹³⁾ was born in Washington, VA, US November 13, 1763. William died September 15, 1824 at 60 years of age.

8 ii. Peleg Tilson⁽¹⁴⁾ was born about 1765.

10 iv. Stephen Tilson⁽¹⁵⁾ was born 1770.

+ 11 v. Mercy Tilson was born 1772.

12 vi. Lemuel Tilson⁽¹⁶⁾ was born in Washington, VA, US 1773.

+ 13 vii. Janet Tilson was born 1776.
