5. Lacy Johnson⁴ Barbe (Jacob³ Barb, Jacob², Jacob¹)⁽³⁰⁾ was born in Surgoinsville, TN, US December 27, 1831. Lacy died April 28, 1919 at 87 years of age.

He married twice. He married Elizabeth Sproles October 8, 1852. (Additional notes for Elizabeth Sproles(31)) He married Frances Jane Barker January 15, 1867. Frances was born February 25, 1846. (Additional notes for Frances Jane Barker(32)) Frances died August 1, 1907 at 61 years of age.

Lacy Johnson Barbe and Elizabeth Sproles had the following children:

17 i. Mary Jane⁵ Barbe⁽³³⁾ was born January 31, 1854. Mary died May 14, 1924 in Washington, VA, US, at 70 years of age. She married Joseph Leonard November 17, 1875. Joseph was born March 12, 1855. (Additional notes for Joseph Leonard(34)) Joseph died July 16, 1910 at 55 years of age.

18 ii. Francis Marion Barbe⁽³⁵⁾ was born August 26, 1856. Francis died November 3, 1883 in Mendota, VA, US, at 27 years of age. He married Louisa Virginia Barker May 1, 1878. 19 iii. Sarah Ann Barbe⁽³⁷⁾ was born June 9, 1860. Sarah died April 7, 1934 in San Antonio, TX, US, at 73 years of age. She married Joseph Wharton Repass July 3, 1884. Joseph was born November 8, 1861. (Additional notes for Joseph Wharton Repass(38)) Joseph died October 23, 1919 at 57 years of age.
