He married Nancy Ellen Lockhart October 2, 1892. Nancy was born February 12, 1875. Nancy(164) was the daughter of David W Lockhart and Martha Gobble. Nancy died July 14, 1964 in Lee, VA, US, at 89 years of age.

John F Allen and Nancy Ellen Lockhart had the following child:
